Wow, it's indeed the perfect pet! The game has great humor, it's really funny to see how you insist on trying to play with the rock or feed it with burgers, but only get desperate silence - absolutely a super fun concept. In terms of feedback, I think you could adjust the text on the button to make it not that blurry: you can first set the font size to a large number, than scaling it off. This should be very simple to fix. Overall this is nice, I'm really satisfied with petting a rock.

I love the idea behind this game. Owning a pet rock is something everyone should get to experience at least once, and this game captures that perfectly. I love the steady decline in interest as you click on the actions, I feel for the player character. The items all look very nice, and I love how the burgers stack up on each other over until they tumble over. If i had any suggestions, i would like the option to name the rock, or dress it up somehow. You haven't seen anything until you've seen a rock with a mohawk.

Drew I love this! I had a pet rock when I was younger and I thought it was the coolest thing ever, for the first day and a half. This project exudes the same feelings of excitement and disappointment appreciation that come with having a pet rock. I think the limited interaction but with multiple changing dialogues is really successful here and I think the overall art style is cohesive and well done. I agree with others that I think it would would be beneficial for the game to have buttons that better match the other text and assets. Another thing I thought of that could be a cool addition is a starting sequence when you maybe draw some eyes on the rock or something to mirror the initial excitement of getting your pet, only to have that fall off as you find out it doesn’t do anything. All in all though I really enjoyed my time with this. Your game description is perfectly on point and serves as a great complement to the game experience. Thanks for putting this into the world.

Thank you so much for helping me to experience the excitement of having a pet rock! Now I know so much more about how to get along with a pet rock! Critique: maybe it could make some noise? (Or maybe you do have sound effect and it’s just my computer not loading the sound) or maybe some little interactions to add more fun, like players could drag the hamburger and really push it into the rock’s face or something. A really interesting approach!

This is a really funny take on the prompt, and truly does mimic the feeling of a pet rock. The simple inclusion of the text adds character to the game and to the joke. The tennis balls and burgers look good, but my only real critique is with the UI. I think it's an appropriate choice to only have two buttons, but I wish they weren't so blurry, or that some of the character from the text appeared on them.

Drew this is... potent. It definitely effectively mirrors the feeling of having a pet rock. I love the tone of the words you use in this game for the UI, "feed" and "play" are great because of the quotes around them.

My biggest critique: I would prefer if the UI were more consistent between the buttons and the cycled through strings that appear when you press the buttons. But this may have been purposeful! Like the fuzziness of the button text may have been to sort of have this very specific sarcastic feeling, so idk. Anyway I still think a little more consistency would feel better, like all of the text having the same outline or being the same size. Another thing I would like is if there were more string to be cycled through so it would feel a bit more fleshed out.
